Pluto in Capricorn

January 18, 2025 - 2038

Over the next 13 years, Pluto will be making it’s transition through the zodiac constellation of Capricorn.

Please keep in mind, the dates used are the Astronomic Astrology dates which link up astrology and present day astronomy.

This post will help you understand what that means collectively and individually, diving into what Capricorn and Pluto represent for you astrologically.

There are 2 major myths/timelines associated with Capricorn currently,
and a higher timeline to move to once these are cleared out.

Myth 1:
The Female Goat - Amalthea

Baby Zeus drinking milk from Amalthea

You have likely heard of the story of Zeus, Rhea and Cronus, but a name that often goes mostly forgotten is that of the goat Amalthea, who famously nursed Zeus by supplying him with her milk while he was an infant and toddler.

Francisco Goya: Saturn Devouring His Son

As the story goes, Rhea and Cronus (Saturn) were married and had many children, however, Cronus was told by an oracle that one of his children would one day overthrow him from his position of power. Because of this, Cronus would EAT every single of of his children, stopping them from developing in life and being able to overthrow him.

Rhea was tired of this and decided to take matters into her own hands. She gave birth to Zeus and when Cronus demanded the child, Rhea instead tricked him by giving him a stone to eat instead. Rhea then took baby Zeus and hid him on Mount Ida, where he was hidden and raised by Amalthea, the goat represented in Capricorn.

Knowing what we know now about who Zeus grew up to be (SA/Trafficker), though, did she do the right thing?

Pluto moving through Capricorn,
according to the Amalthea Timeline:

Pluto Energies:
Death, Destruction, Power, Fear, Transformation

Potential Themes of Pluto in Capricorn:

  • End of endless energy/supply of energy to the “gods”

  • Fear surrounding hidden truths/things you or others are hiding

  • Destruction of abusive power dynamics between parents/weaponizing children

  • Transformation/Dismantling of toxic foster care/adoption systems

  • Loss of children

Myth 2: The SeaGoat - Pan

This is the main archetype most people associate Capricorn energy with, the “Seagoat”.

What most people don’t know however, is that the Seagoat represented in Capricorn is the trickster god, Pan.

The story behind this myth:

Aphrodite, Pan and Eros

Pan was a nature nymph or forest deity who took great pride in also being a trickster. He was also half man, half goat. Pan was largely lawless and attempted to seduce anyone he wanted to experience sexually (see Aphrodite about to beat him with her shoe up above).

You’re probably wondering where the SEAgoat part comes in…

During the famous Titan vs Olympian war, Pan got involved and used a conch shell to scare off the opposing Titans. But when the monster Typhon was approaching, fearing death, Pan turned himself into a “Sea Goat” and jumped into the Nile river. By doing this, Pan faked his own death and had others proclaim for him, “The Great Pan is Dead!"

Not exactly the “Greatest of All Time”, more so just a trick to save his own life.

There’s a lot more to this story, however… because Pan is also the “front man” for Satanism aka the “Baphomet”

  • Pan is also depicted as the “Baphomet” which is quite literally Satanism’s “scapegoat” and front “man” /half man - half goat

    • The Baphomet is a representation of multiple gods and goddesses who formed alliances/partnerships for control purposes

  • Note that “The Devil” card in tarot is linked to the Capricorn archetype within astrology

  • Goat’s are typically used within ritualistic sacrifices

    • “In the Bible, a scapegoat is one of a pair of kid goats that is released into the wilderness, taking with it all sins and impurities, while the other is sacrificed.” - Source

The Higher Capricorn Timeline:

From destruction of the other timelines will come new life and a new way of being.

By addressing what is broken and needs to be destroyed, we can collectively also decide how to improve as we move toward the future.

Capricorn energy is energy of stability, fatherhood, nurturing, commitment and love, in it’s higher aspects.

Let’s explore those themes through the higher Capricorn symbolism of the male Seahorse:

Seahorse Mythology/Symbolism

  • The Capricorn constellation can also be seen as the “Seahorse” and not a goat

  • Within mythology, the “Hippocampi” were the seahorses that pulled the chariot of Poseidon

  • Poseidon created horses out of ocean waves to create “the most beautiful animal on earth”

What Seahorses can teach us about Fatherhood:

In seahorse culture, the male ends up carrying the fertilized eggs for the female, uniquely giving birth as a male when the babies are mature.

Key themes for Capricorn as the SeaHORSE:

  • Strength and Stamina

  • Providing safety and a nurturing environment for children

  • Carefully developing children to gain independence when mature

  • Power

  • Perseverance and Adaptability

  • Fatherhood

  • Resourcefulness

  • Awareness of needs and emotions
